General Information
Pipa is the most international beaches of Rio Grande do Norte, is one of the 5 most visited destinations in the State and certainly is one of the most famous beaches in the Brazilian Northeast. Its fame goes back to the 70’s, when it became a must to stop here for "alternative" travelers,backpackers and foreign visitors in serch of adventure, and the meeting point for the young people of Natal, Recife, João Pessoa and as far as Fortaleza. On the long busy weekends, the beach is packed with young, beautiful people from several States of the Region. In this way, Pipa became famous as the beach with a busy nightlife, without losing the enchantments of its natural beauty. Cliffs, calm waters, the Ecological Sanctuary, and the richness of the preserved Atlantic Woodlands, the charm of Love Beach, and the beauty of Madeira Beach are other attractions that make Pipa almost a necessary stop for the tourists that come to Rio Grande do Norte.Another original charateristic is the gatronomical variety: walking along Pipa’s principle street is like taking a trip through the world’s culinary arts– bars, and restaurants offer the most varied options. The cultural diversity is another mark of this place. In Pipa it’s possible to find the most varied and different artistic styles: painting, sculpture, craftsmanshiip, graphics, precious and semi-precious stones, beachwear, lace and embroidary.
