Emprotur in Brasília
The State of Rio Grande do Norte will be represented in Brasilia, by Potiguar Office for Touristic Promotion of RN, on the 3rd and 4th August, during the meeting for evaluation of the 4º Salão do Turismo, national touristic fair that took place in São Paulo. During his stay in the Federal Capital, Emprotur representatives will promote a series of show window action targeting major travel agencies of the Region, and also will be present at Centro-Oeste Tur (Tourism business fair).

“The show window action means to visit the main travel agencies in city, exposing a Marquette of our State where they can see several of our best attractions. This is an opportunity to improve travel agent skills knowledge about our Region, they are the ones responsible for selling us as a destination”, says Claudio Porpino, president of Emprotur.

This promotional action will be performed in partnership with CVC Brasília and aims to boost sales of RN as a touristic destination. Porpino adds that Brasilia features as third position in the ranking of cities that bring more tourists to RN through CVC operations. São Paulo and Belo Horizonte occupy first and second position, respectively.

According to Wellington Paim, Marketing Director of Emprotur, during the fair, expositors, travel agents and tourism operators will present new attractions in destinations and travel packages to next summer and Carnival. “This edition has additionally the participation of international expositors, coming from countries as Israel, Argentina and Aruba, all promoting their regions as touristic destinations to the Capital Federal market", says Paim. Event organizes expect to attract 1.000 visitors and 400 expositors during to the fair.

Saint Ann’s festival sponsored by Emprotur
Aiming the development of the biggest religious festivity of Rio Grande do Norte, Emprotur will be sponsoring Saint Ann's festivity this year with resources estimated in 150,000 Brazilian reais. According to president of Emprotur, Claudio Porpino, governor of State Wilma de Faria authorized the investment through a biding agreement with Caicó Major. The city of Caicó promotes the festivity as its bigger touristic attraction. "We are investing in promoting several destinations in the countryside. Also in Caicó we expect to support the Gastronomic Festival during Saint Rosario Festivity and also next year Carnival", says Porpino. Source: Press Advisor – EMPROTUR

The natural beauties of RN shown in one of the most famous
During the month of March, the program Donnavventura of the Italian channel Rette 4, showed the beauties of the Potiguar coast. The team was in Rio Grande do Norte in November when it was received and hosted by the Empresa Potiguar de Promoções Turisticas (Emprotur), registering the beaches , their attractions and the habits of the Potiguar people. “The participants in the program said that the Potiguar beaches were among the most beautiful they had ever seen”, affirmed the executive manager of the international promotion of Emprotur, Gina Robinson, that heard the commentary during a participation of RN in the Borsa Internazionale di Turismo (BIT), one of the most important tourist fairs in Milan, in Italy.

The Donnavventura program is a reality show that has existed for more than 20 years in Italy. The team is made up of six women with a spirit of adventure. The participants traveled all over Brazil for two months aboard a 4x4 pickup, experimenting the most diverse adventures. Besides Rio Grande do Norte, they passed through São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Alagoas Pernambuco, Ceará, Maranhão, Pará, Amazonas and Roraima. Here in the state, the Italians explored Pipa and Galos beach and Barra do Punaú.

Tourism in RN is once more the highlight on national network
The State Government guarantees one more important action in publicizing tourism in Rio Grande do Norte. The beauties and Potiguar potentials will be exhibited on national network, in October, in the program “In the Heart of Brazil” on the Band. The broadcasting station team arrives in Natal Tuesday (23) and will spend two days filming the local riches.

Presented by José Luiz Datena, the journalistic program will first start filming in Pipa .On Wednesday the team will take a panoramic helicopter flight and a buggy trip on the North shore, showing the dunes of Jenipabú, the dromedaries, Pitangui lake, ski-bunda and aero-bunda. Datena’s relaxed style will permeate the mini-documentary made about the region. Natal will be left for the last recording day. The team will visit the Morro do Careca, Via Costeira, Forte dos Reis Magos, Ribeira, the cultural corridor , downtown and will also get to know the Barreira do Inferno and the cashew tree of Pirangi.

Government publicizes RN for North American tourists
O Rio Grande do Norte participates for the first time at the “La Cumbre The American’s Travel Industry Summit”, in Miami (state of Florida), one of the principle tourist fairs of the United States.  The international adviser of the Secretary of Tourism (Setur), Gina Robinson, will represent the State Government, from September 3 to 5. The object of the Potiguar promotional action is to divulge the destination in the American market that starts to operate airline flights to the Northeast region.

“We are going to present our attractions, visit the operators, the airline companies, and take our new promotional material. In the end, to have decisive meetings to get flights for Rio Grande do Norte”, enumerates the advisor.”

Gina said that Recife and Fortaleza will receive flights from the United States, principally, for the emissive tourist potential, with larger populations in relation to the Norte-Rio-Grandense capitol. “We’ll present Rio Grande do Norte so that it will be the next State on the route of the American tourist in the Northeast”, evaluates.
